Global Volunteerism
Twice yearly, Dr. Verma volunteers his time abroad to perform complex spine surgery on children with scoliosis. He has volunteered in Ghana, Columbia, and Mexico and has continued this work for the last 10 years. Visit the global Spine Outreach Website to learn more.
Evidenced Based Spine Surgery
Dr. Verma operates within strict surgical indications. He frequently discusses the latest literature, outcomes, and different treatment options for various problems of the spine. He often encourages second opinions as well so that patients can make informed decisions. He is board certified and a fellow for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Complex Spine Surgery
Dr. Verma has a specialized interest in adult and pediatric scoliosis and complex spine. He has trained at the Rothman Institute, UCSF, and was a professor at the University of Washington. He is also a member of the Scoliosis Research Society. He frequently is referred patients from other spine surgeons for complex revisions.
