Sean partners with Verma Spine to provide a high level of patient and surgical care alongside Dr. Verma and the rest of the team. He received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, a Pre-Physical Therapy degree from Biola University, and his master's degree from Thomas Jefferson University, where Dr. Verma also completed his residency training. His vast background and experience in various specialties such as Cardiology and Urgent Care make him a well-rounded asset to aid in the concierge care of each of our patients. His true passion is orthopedic surgery, and he is excited to gain surgical knowledge inside the operating room and clinic caring for our patients with the highest level of quality. His experience and capable, gentle nature make his bedside manner every patient's pleasure to experience. He is excited to join the team and make a difference!
Gia Gentile
PRACTICE MANAGER, SURGERY COORDINATOR
Gia governs Verma Spine as a seasoned practice manager and surgery nurse coordinator with several years of specialized experience specific to pre- and post-op surgical candidates. She has over fourteen years of experience including many years in specialty medical management, nursing, and concierge-level patient care. In addition, she also has an extensive medical experience with Cedars Sinai Medical Center, KECK USC, and a VIP spine practice in Beverly Hills, making her an ideal practice manager and surgical nurse coordinator for Verma Spine. Her top priorities are to advise surgical patients pre- and post-operatively and ensure that all patients are provided the highest level of care within our expandable reach.
Jane Yi
CLINICAL SURGICAL ASSISTANT
Jane advances Verma Spine with several years of experience in such fields as emergency medicine, pulmonology, medical transcription, and spine surgery. She has been a pivotal part of the practice for over 2 years and patients compliment her extremely attentive, diligent, and motivated nature consistently. With her divine skill set and leadership qualities, Jane is the model surgical assistant with her main responsibilities including, coordinating surgeries, running the clinic, executing DME placement and development as well as managing all non-surgical treatments such as injections and PRP. She is highly accomplished with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with an emphasis on Community Health Education from California State University, Long Beach. Her plan is to continue her education with an end goal of becoming a Physician Assistant where she plans to return to Verma Spine to further perfect her skill set.
Amber Bangma
FRONT OFFICE COORDINATOR
Amber enhances Verma Spine with her extensive background in patient management skills. She prides herself on exceptional patient care and enjoys building relationships with patients. Her accomplishments include graduating from Long Beach City College, at the top of her class, and obtaining an AA in Social Sciences and Kinesiology. She then went onto CSULB, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, emphasis in Kinesiology. Her future goals include becoming a Physician Assistant in either dermatology or orthopedics. She has been with us for over a year and receives daily praise for her calm demeanor and expertise in patient care, making her the ideal front office coordinator.
Jessie Rapoza
CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Jessie drives the research front at Verma Spine with her curiosity and desire to contribute to the scientific wealth of knowledge that is so integral to the practice of medicine. During the time that she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from Brown University, she was able to take advantage of opportunities that granted her experience in industrial biotech and medical device development including academic research. She is happy to now have the ability to apply her experiences to clinical research, which also allows her to take on a more interactive role. The four years she spent as a Division I student-athlete have also instilled in her the desire to work hard and to work well in a team setting like the one cultivated within Verma Spine. In the future, Jessie hopes to become a surgeon herself, possibly specializing in orthopedics or trauma.
Logan Karlen
MEDICAL SCRIBE
Logan assists Verma Spine as a medical scribe with ample experience caring for thousands of emergent patients as an EMT in LA County. He is excited to apply his patient care skills to a clinical setting, as well as help Verma Spine advance its research endeavors regarding patient outcomes specific to adult scoliosis, pediatric scoliosis, and complex spine. Having earned a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from UCLA, Logan hopes to become a physician. As always, his aim at Verma Spine is to ensure that every patient he sees has a positive experience.
